The Nichols College Baseball team held off two late rallies from Bates College as they took the two-game sweep on Saturday afternoon at the New England Baseball Complex in Northborough, Massachusetts.

Two batters later, Giovanni Torres drove in two runs on a single to left center, knotted the game up at six apiece. Nichols responded quickly, loading the bases in the bottom half of the seventh off a triple, single, and an intentional walk. Sophomore

The Bobcats however, would come storming back for the second time on the day, scoring six unanswered runs over the next three innings, highlighted by homeruns from Torres, and a three-run shot from John Nowak in the seventh inning that bounced off the glove of Caron in centerfield and over the fence, which knotted the game at six apiece.
