CLERMONT, Fla. – The Nichols College softball team bounced back from a 3-2 loss to Dominican (IL) College to knock off local rival Becker College 8-6 Friday in non-conference action at the PFX Spring Games at Hancock Field.
In the season opener against the Stars, senior
Alexandria Rodi laced an RBI double to bring in senior

Kamryn Gurnee-Mims with a single through the right side. Senior
Alexis Ferris struck out 12 in six innings of work.
Graduate student
Jessica Kuelling went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored against the Hawks. Commesso, meanwhile, belted the game-tying home run in the fifth over the center field fence and finished with two hits and two runs scored. Rodi and sophomore
Courtney Schullery also drove in a run while senior
Cara Mayhew launched a sac fly in the fifth that gave the Bison the lead for good at 6-5.
Freshman
Alyssa Ouellette picked up her first collegiate win for the Bison, pitching a pair of scoreless frames that features a pair of hits, one walk and one strikeout.
