Freshman Jake Harasyko picked up a career-high 11 kills in Nichols College's 3-1 win at Bard University Wednesday night in non-conference men's volleyball action at the Stevenson Athletic Center.
 
Sophomore Ray Wang led the Bison (4-3) with 12 kills as the Bison won game one, 25-16, before dropping the second set in extras, 26-24. They rallied back to close out the match with wins in sets three (25-17) and four (25-16).
 
Freshman Nicholas Basco and senior Kevin Keohane combined for 33 assists while both Wang and freshman Matthew Zawistowski each notched five service aces. Sophomore Sean Jackson tallied three of the Bison's eight blocks and senior Oscar Chavez registered 10 digs to lead NC.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -Tonight's contest marked the inaugural meeting between Nichols College and Bard University. The Bison now lead the series, 1-0.
            -Wang has registered 10+ kills in five of the seven matches thus far in 2020.
            -Basco's 18 assists was a career-high, surpassing his previous high of 13 against Regis (MA) this past weekend.
