Hunter Ferreira notched five goals as the Nichols College men's lacrosse team lost to Saint Joseph's College (ME) 10-6 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at Vendetti Field in Dudley, Massachusetts.
The Bison saw Ferreira score five of their six goals in the contest, with Ferreira taking a team-high 15 shots. Sophomore
Cian Keohane scored the other Bison goal, an up-goal in the fourth quarter. Keohane also added in two assists to give him three points on the day. The Bison were narrowly outshot by St. Joe's by a margin of 45-44.
The Monks saw three student-athletes score multiple goals, with three apiece from Max Lacy and Devin Linscott. Meanwhile Tyler Brewester added two goals for the Monks on a team-high 10 shots. The Bison took a early 3-2 lead over the Monks in the second quarter, before St. Joe's scored three unanswered goals and never looked back.
