The Nichols College women's basketball team lost to Roger Williams 71-49 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Wednesday evening at the Campus Rec Center in Bristol, Rhode Island.
The Bison were led by reigning CCC Rookie of the Week
Alexis Finnerty who came into the contest averaging 16 points per game (PPG) as she led the Bison with 13 points (4-of-11 FG), to go along with three assists and two boards. Fellow classmate
Leandra Ortiz scored 10 points for the second time this season, while adding in a team-high six rebounds and to go along with a team-leading four assists.
The Hawks saw three student-athletes score in double-figures, headlined by a 21-point performance from Sam Leone, who also dished out a game-high seven assists. Karli Opalka added 19 points for Roger Williams, as well as a game-high eight rebounds while Sam Mancinelli poured in 13-points on 5-of-9 shooting.
