Sophomore
Cian Keohane led the Bison with three goals and an assist as the Nichols College men's lacrosse team lost to Western Connecticut State 21-8 in the season opener for both squads Wednesday afternoon at The WAC in Danbury, Connecticut.
The Colonials opened up the scoring in the game with 12:35 left in the first quarter with the first of seven goals from Ryan Reuling, before the Bison scored their first goal of the 2020 season just 42 seconds later with a score from sophomore
Hunter Ferreira to make it 1-1. Western went on the score five more goals in the quarter to take an early 6-2 lead.
Nichols scored three more goals in the third quarter, with scores from junior
Brendan Coates and two from Keohane. Coates was the other Bison who scored multiple goals as the Colonials saw three others score multiple goals with five from Eric Caldwell, and two apiece from Timothy Yannucci and Keith Ditta.

-The Bison saw junior
Griffin Jasin make his first collegiate start, making 18 saves in 45 minutes played.
-Western Conn. Took 70 shots compared to Nichols's 41 in the game.
-Today's game marked the seventh all-time meeting between the two clubs.
