Alexis Finnerty poured in a game-high 24 points as the Nichols College women's basketball team lost to Curry College 59-52 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon at Katz Gymnasium in Milton, Massachusetts.
The Bison (5-18, 3-11 CCC) were led by Finnerty as she shot 8-of-23 from the field while dishing out two assists and snagging eight boards. Fellow classmate
Gina Parmenter was second on the team with nine points in the contest while also collecting five boards and a pair of assists. The Bison fell short despite outscoring the Colonels in the second half 32-28 with the help of 10 points from Finnerty and all nine of Parmenter's points.
The Colonels (5-18, 3-11 CCC) saw three student-athletes score in double-figures led by Kaitlynn Smith and Kathryn Dunn who both scored 15 for Curry. Dunn added five boards and three assists while Gina Cote led Curry and the game with 14 rebounds on six points and two assists. The third Colonel to score in double-figures was Kristyanna Remillard who put up 12 points to go along with seven boards and two assists.

-Finnerty has now scored 20+ points in three straight games, and a total of seven times this season. She leads the Bison averaging 16.4 points per game.

Melody Millett led the Bison and set a season-high for herself with nine rebounds in the contest.
-The Bison outrebounded the Colonels 52-49 in the contest.
