Bison cruise past Colonels

Senior Kash Jackson was one of six Nichols College student-athletes in double figures with 14 points in a 104-71 win over Curry College Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action at Katz Gymnasium in Milton, Mass.
 
Sophomore Jaekwon Spencer paced the Bison (15-8, 10-4 CCC) with 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting while junior Matt Morrow collected 17 points and seven rebounds. Nichols shot 49 percent from the field and turned 15 Curry turnovers into 21 points.
 
Junior Nate Tenaglia knocked down five of his six field goal attempts and finished with 13 points, five assists, four rebounds, and three steals. Sophomore Jason O'Regan knocked down a pair of triples off the bench and closed the game with 10 points.
 
Daymeann Stewart led all student-athletes with 26 points for the Colonels (5-18, 1-13 CCC), who shot 44 percent and were outscored in the paint, 44-24.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -Today's contest marked the 71st all-time meeting between Nichols College and Curry College. The Bison have won the last 14 meetings and now lead the series, 38-33.
            -Nichols outrebounded Curry 49-31 and was led by sophomore Ferryton Kpalie with 13.
            -With today's win, the Bison have reached the 15-win plateau for the seventh consecutive season, dating back to the 2013-14 campaign.
