No. 9 Gulls down Bison

Recap
The Nichols College women's hockey team lost to Endicott 5-1 in Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) action Friday evening at Levy Rink in Harrisville, Rhode Island.

The Bison had a few breakaway chances early on in the first period before freshman Sarah Zeidan was able to poke a goal in after classmate Lauren Rokala forced a turnover and put a puck on net. Zeidan was able to poke the puck past Gulls goalie Michaela O'Brien for the first goal of the game.

The second period brought two goals for the Gulls the first coming from senior Michaela McNamara who found the top right corner after collecting passes from Jade Meier and Madison Huber. Endicott gained the lead 12 minutes later when Jillian Gibbs notched her 13th goal of the season after collecting a rebound off a shot from Lauren Ferraiulo. Freshman Ashley Keaveney picked up the secondary assist on the Gulls second goal.

The Gulls added three more goals in the third period to pull-away with the conference victory. Endicott saw goals from Meier, Courtney Sullivan and Ashlie Jones.
 
Three things you need to know…
-The Gulls outshot the Bison 52-23 in the game.
-Junior Jordyn McGuire led the Bison with six shots on goal.
-Today's game marked the ninth all-time meeting between the two programs, and the third time this season.
