DeAnte Bruton scored 30 points in just 24 minutes of action in Nichols College's 85-73 win over Roger Williams University Thursday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action at the Nichols Athletic Center.

Kash Jackson knocked down three triples and finished with 15 points while sophomore
Jaekwon Spencer filled the stat sheet with 13 points, eight boards, tree dimes and two steaks in 32 minutes. The win moves the Bison to 9-4 on the season and they remained perfect in CCC play (4-0).
Nichols led wire-to-wire and opened up a 24-point lead midway through the second half. The Bison banged in 13 three-pointers – highlighted by four from Bruton – and shot 49 percent from the field, including 42 percent from downtown. The Hawks (10-4, 2-3 CCC) sank 45 percent of their field goals but struggled from behind the arc, making just eight of their 33 attempts (24 percent).
Sophomore Eli Harris paced RWU with 20 points while junior Drew Hart went for 16 points and senior Rich Pugliese went for 10 points. They held a 36-34 edge on the glass and saw the Bison turn 19 turnovers into 20 points.

-Tonight's contest marked the 54th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Roger Williams University. The Bison have won 14 straight over the Hawks and now lead the series, 33-21.
-Bruton moved passed Vin Miler (1978-82) and into sole possession of fourth-place on the college's all-time scoring list with 1,951 career points. Next up is Billy Collins (1991-95) with 2,014 points.
