Gulls upend Bison in CCC action

Junior Nate Tenaglia led five Nichols College student-athletes in double-figures with 17 points in an 85-69 loss at Endicott College Tuesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action at MacDonald Gymnasium.
 
Tenaglia shot 7-of-14 from the field and also collected six rebounds in 39 minutes of action. Senior DeAnte Bruton collected 14 points, five rebounds, four assists, and one steal for the Bison (11-8, 6-4 CCC) while junior Matt Morrow recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
 
Matt McDevitt led all student-athletes with 24 points while Jaylen Echevarria scored 18 points in 38 minutes of action for Endicott (15-4, 9-1 CCC), which shot 46 percent from the field and outrebounded the Bison 38-35.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -Tonight's contest marked the 35th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Endicott College. The Gulls snapped a five-game losing skid to the Bison and lead the series, 19-17.
            -Endicott knocked down 42 percent of their three-pointers (16-of-38), led by McDevitt with eight.
            -Tenaglia's 17 points was his second-highest scoring output of the season. The Tewksbury, Mass. native scored 20 against Curry on January 18.
