Bison blank Rams. 7-0

Recap
The Nichols College women's soccer team defeated Framingham State 7-0 Monday afternoon at the NC Soccer Field in Dudley, Massachusetts.

The Bison (9-2-0) opened up the scoring in the 14th minute with a goal from sophomore Amalia Sessoms, her third of the season. Graduate student Meghan Dunn picked up her third assist on the goal. Five minutes later the Rams (2-6-1) got called for a penalty and Dunn was able to notch the penalty kick to give the Bison the 2-0 lead.

Late in the first half sophomore Damiana D'Agostino capitalized on a mistake by the Rams goalie and scored her first goal of the season to send the Bison into the break with a 3-0 lead. The Bison added four more goals in the second half courtesy of junior Abby Bassett and freshman Amanda Simco, Niah Samboy, Bassett added two goals herself.
 
Three things you need to know…
-The Bison's seven goals scored today is the most in one game this season.
-Today's match marked the 12th all-time meeting between the two programs, the Bison tie the series at six games apiece with today's win.
-The Bison now have seven shutouts on the season, tied for the second most shutouts in one season in program history.
