Freshman Mackenzie Doran scored her fourth goal of the season for the Nichols College field hockey team, which dropped a 2-1 decision to Becker College in non-conference action Saturday morning at Vendetti Field.
 
Senior MacKenzie McDonald picked up an assist on the Bison (3-2) goal, which came at 38:29 of the third quarter and knotted the score at one. Senior goalie Brooke Misbach recorded three saves for NC, which fell despite outshooting the Hawks (3-2) by a 15-9 margin.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -This morning's contest marked the 15th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Becker College. Despite having their nine-game win streak against the Hawks snapped, the Bison still lead the series, 10-5.
            -Amy Cooper and Emily Iacovelli scored for the Hawks at 22:50 and 41:16, respectively. Iacovelli's marker – her fourth of the season – came off a penalty corner and proved to be the game-winner.
            -Becker held a 12-6 edge in penalty corners.
