Junior Lizz McKinnon scored a pair of goals in Nichols College's 3-2 loss to Roger Williams University Wednesday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Vendetti Field.
 
Sophomore Hannah Potter scored twice for the Hawks (5-1, 1-0 CCC), and her second marker at 38:49 of the contest held up as the game-winner as it gave the visitors a 3-1 lead. Senior Carly Doulette also potted a goal for RWU.
 
Senior Brooke Misbach recorded 11 saves for the Bison (3-3, 0-1 CCC).  
 
Three things you need to know...
            -Today's contest marked the 13th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Roger Williams University. The Hawks have now won three-straight and lead the series, 9-4.
            -Freshman Mackenzie Doran picked up an assist of both of McKinnon's markers, and her 10 points (4-2-10) trails only McKinnon's 16.
            -The Hawks outshot the Bison 18-14 – including 9-2 in the third quarter.
