The Nichols College men's soccer team tied Massachusetts Maritime 1-1 at Clean Harbors Stadium in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts Wednesday night.
The Bison (2-2-1) fell behind early on when Shane MacNeil scored the opening goal in the 6th minute, a header from the left side after Andrew Wayrynen sent in a cross. The Bison played down one goal until the 35th minute when freshman
Nikolas Padilla notched his first collegiate goal on a through ball from sophomore
Evan Lemoine.
The two teams remained tied at one goal apiece after regulating time forcing an overtime. Despite the two teams combining for 13 shots across the two overtime periods the game ended up in a tie, the first for Nichols.

-Buccaneers goalie Mitch Hardy led the way with 13 saves in the game.
-Lemoine and Wayrynen both led their teams with eight shots apiece.
-The Bison put up a season high 33 shots in the match.
