The Nichols College baseball team fell to University of Massachusetts-Boston 20-4 Thursday afternoon in a non-conference matchup on the Nichols Baseball Field in Dudley, Massachusetts.
The Bison's (19-16) four-run effort was led by junior
Kyle Bouchard who went 3-for-4 with an RBI while freshman
Evan Kastauskas who went 2-for-3 with a walk, RBI, and run.
The Beacons (20-10) sent 52 batters to the plate for 20 runs on 26 hits. Sophomore
Justin Hurley was on the hook for the loss for Nichols, recording eight runs (six earned) on seven hits through one-third of an inning. Junior
Jacob Barresi was the star for the Bison, recording a shutout inning giving up one walk and striking out one batter.
