The Nichols College men's lacrosse team defeated the University of New England 18-11 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon on a rainy Vendetti Field in Dudley, Massachusetts.
The Bison (9-6, 3-4 CCC) received a game-high 10 points from freshman
Hunter Ferreira on four goals and six assists. The Bison received four goals from three student-athletes; Ferreira, junior
Cole Fontana, and sophomore
Brendan Coates. Nichols went into the half with an 11-4 advantage, before the Nor'easters (7-9, 2-5 CCC) held the Bison to only seven goals in the second half. However, the Bison did the same to the Nor'easters and were able to take the senior day victory.
UNE was led offensively by Garret Bozek who notched four points on a pair of goals and two assists. They also received multiple goals from Mitch Mullin, Jason Erwin and Jacob Vaneck.
