The University of New England took a pair of games from the Nichols College softball team Tuesday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Nichols Softball Field.

Game One: UNE 4, Nichols 0
Senior Avery Alberghini went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI for the Nor'easters, who received seven innings of shutout ball from senior Sydnee Bessler. She scattered four hits, did not walk a batter, and fanned eight. Junior
Alexis Ferris allowed six hits and four runs (two earned) with six strikeouts over seven for the Bison.

Game Two: UNE 4, Nichols 0
Senior Melissa Sprague held the Bison to one hit and struck out 10 in a complete game victory. Sophomore Zea Macris went 2-for-3 for the Nor'easters while senior Alexis Kapsambelis drove in the game-winning run with a bunt in the first inning. Freshman
Candice Nelson surrendered six hits and four runs (two earned) in seven innings of work for NC.
