The Nichols College baseball team defeated Lesley University 11-2 Thursday afternoon in a non-conference matchup on the Nichols College Baseball Field in Dudley, Massachusetts.

The Bison (18-13) scored first, putting a run on the board in the first and third innings before exploding in the fourth inning, putting up eight, which proved to be insurmountable for the Lynx (7-20). Nine different Bison recorded an RBI on the day, led by junior
Kyle Bouchard who recorded two while going 2-for-3 with two runs on the afternoon.

Tony Martignoli got the start and ultimately the win for the Bison, recording one run on four hits, and two walks while racking up nine strikeouts over six innings. The Bison's four pitchers on the day combined for two runs on six hits, two walks, and thirteen strikeouts. Lesley's two runs came in the sixth and seventh innings on a home run and an RBI single.

- Today's contest marked the third all-time meeting between the Bison and the Lynx. The Bison extend their lead to 3-0.
-The thirteen strikeouts collected by the Nichols' pitchers is tied for second most in a game in program history. The last time this was achieved was on 3/28/16, also against Lesley University.
-Martignoli's nine strikeouts are a career high for him.
