The Nichols College men's lacrosse team defeated Emerson 10-5 in a non-conference tilt Tuesday night at Rotch Field in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Bison (2-1) came out of the gate hot, scoring the first seven goals of the game across the first and second quarters. Sophomore

Jack Campanale both deposited two goals apiece in the first half to help propel the Bison to a 7-1 lead at halftime. Nichols junior
Cole Fontana netted two of the Bison's three goals in the second half, while also adding a goal in the first half to collect three points in the game.
The Lions (0-4) got on the board in the final seconds of the first half with a goal from freshman attacker Hunter Gervais, with an assist from junior Austin franklin. Emerson outscored Nichols 4-3 in the second half including a three spot in the third quarter but were unable to overcome the first half deficit. Nichols senior goaltender and all-time leader in wins

Three things you need to know…
-Coates finished with a team-high four points, with two goals and two assists.
-The Bison recorded a season-high nine penalties for 7:00, however the Lions were 0-9 on man-up opportunities.
-Nichols went a season-high 25-28 on clear attempts.
