The Nichols College women's basketball team lost to Roger Williams 50-28 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Tuesday night at the Nichols Athletics Center in Dudley, Massachusetts.
Nichols (4-18, 2-11 CCC) were led by sophomore
Isabella Nerney who sunk 12 points (4-of-17 FG) including a couple of threes. Classmate
Melody Millett tied for a game-high with nine rebounds along with senior
Rebecca Cleary. Freshman
Jillian Spillane was second on the Bison with four points (2-of-3 FG) along with a rebound. The Bison trailed the Hawks for the whole game after falling to a 22-11 deficit at halftime.
Roger Williams (12-10, 10-3 CCC) had two student-athletes score in double figures; Sam Mancinelli who dropped in 15 points (5-of-10 FG) and Karli Opalka who notched 12 points (5-of-8 FG) to go along with six rebounds herself. Sam Leone led the Hawks on the glass collecting seven boards along with seven points. The Hawks collect their tenth CCC victory of the season and move into second place.

Three things you need to know…
-The Bison outrebounded the Hawks 44-42 including 18 offensive boards.
-Nichols only took four free-throws in the game, making three of them.
-This was the 49th all-time meeting between the two programs.
