Freshmen
Ray Wang and
Lance Law combined for 33 kills in Nichols College's 3-1 win over Eastern Nazarene College Wednesday night in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action at the Nichols Athletic Center.

Wang led all student-athletes with 17 kills (.455 hitting pct.) to go with 12 digs. Law – the reigning conference Rookie of the Week – collected 16 kills, six digs, two blocks, and one service ace as the Bison evened their record at 6-6 (2-1 NECC). Nichols won game one, 25-16, before the Lions (6-10, 1-3 NECC) tied the match at one with a 27-25 win in game two. The Bison closed out the match with wins in games three (25-14) and four (25-17).

Luis Castro dished out a career-high 51 assists and also notched seven digs while junior
Oscar Chavez picked up 11 digs and freshman
Collin Hunter registered nine kills, five digs, one service ace, and one block. Eastern Nazarene was led by sophomore Tim Eddings with 11 kills while freshman Brock Pease had 10. Senior Brandon Jenkins handed out 32 assists as the Lions hit just .066 for the match.

Nichols grabbed the early lead behind four kills and five digs from Wang in the first set. Pease was one of two ENC student-athletes with four kills in its second set win before Wang (eight kills) and Law (four kills) helped the Bison take a 2-1 lead with a third set win.             -Today's contest marked the inaugural meeting between Nichols College and Eastern Nazarene College. The Bison now lead the series, 1-0.
            -Wang continues to lead the NECC in kills/set (3.73) while Law is fifth (3.0). Wang is also fifth in hitting pct. (.279).
            -Castro leads the conference in assists/set (8.94). Hunter, meanwhile, is third in digs/set (2.21) while Chavez is fifth (2.10).
