The Nichols College men's volleyball team was defeated by Rivier College 3-0 Wednesday night in non-conference action at the Nichols Athletic Center.

Freshman
Ray Wang led the Bison (2-4) with 11 kills, 10 digs, and two service aces. Classmate
Collin Hunter added six kills and six digs while freshman
Luis Castro posted 21 assists, seven digs, and two block assists.

Junior Francis Kokoros paced the Raiders (4-4) with 10 kills while freshman Jack Normandin collected eight kills and five digs. Rivier posted a .268 hitting percentage and won game one 25-17, game two 25-19, and game three 26-24.

Kokoros and junior David Smith each recorded three kills in the first game for the Raiders while Wang had three for NC. Wang led all student-athletes with five kills in the second as the Bison hit .273. In the third, Wang and freshman
Lance Law each notched three kills and Castro dished out nine assists.

Three things you need to know...
            -Wang leads the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) in kills/set at 4.25.
            -Hunter (2.42) and Castro (2.39) ranks third and fourth, respectively, in digs/set in the NECC. Hunter is also third in service aces/set (0.54).
            -Castro leads the conference in assists/set (8.00).
