Recap
Freshman
Kayla Currin scored her second collegiate goal and sophomore
Stephanie Runciman stopped all 21 shots she faced in Nichols College's 1-0 win over Becker College Friday night in Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) action at the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.
The Bison and Hawks remained tied a zero apiece until 12 minutes into the second period, when Currin found the back of the net for her first collegiate goal, with assists from junior
Jordyn McGuire and freshman
Kaci Johnson. The Hawks (2-7-0, 0-4-1 CHC) had two more power-plays in the third period to try and tie the game at a goal apiece but the Bison's kill was to strong, forcing the Hawks to go 0-4 on the power-play.
Sophomore goaltender
Runciman turned aside 21 shots in the contest en-route to her first win of the season in net. The Hawks netminder Amber Lee made 28 saves in the contest but was beat by the lone goal as the Bison took to 1-0 win.
