The Nichols College women's hockey team lost to Aurora University 4-1 Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Levy Rink in Burrillville, Rhode Island.
The Spartans (2-0-0) scored quickly into the contest with a goal from Olivia Matson just 39 seconds into the first period. Nicole McKernan assisted on the goal for one of her three points in the game. The Bison scored at the 7:47 mark in the first period with a goal from freshman
Sarah Zeidan, her first collegiate goal. Junior

Lauren Rokala assisted on the goal.
Aurora added two more goals in the first period, with goals from Lauren Martel and McKernan to give the Spartans the 3-1 advantage going into the first break. Later in the third period McKernan added her second goal of the game to secure the 4-1 victory and weekend sweep of the Bison.

Lindsey Gerzabek in a pregame ceremony, as she played in her last career game for the Bison.
