DeAnte Bruton scored a game-high 31 points in Nichols College's 82-77 win at Anna Maria College Tuesday night in non-conference men's basketball action at the Fuller Center.
The 10th-ranked Bison improved to 3-0 for the second-straight season as Bruton led five student-athletes in double-figures in scoring, including juniors
Matt Morrow (13 points) and
Nate Tenaglia (12 points), and senior
Kash Jackson and sophomore
Jaekwon Spencer, each of whom netted 10.
Nichols shot 51 percent from the field (31-of-61) and cut its turnovers down to nine after giving the rock away 19 times in Saturday's win against NEC. Bruton and Tenaglia each recorded seven dimes.
Mike Rapoza – who racked up 15 points and 15 rebounds against the Bison last season – scored a team-high 21 points for the AMCats (0-5), who canned 54 percent of their shots.

-Tonight's contest marked the 49th all-time meeting between Anna Maria College and Nichols College. The Bison have won the last four meetings and lead the series, 28-21.
-Bruton – who has led the Bison in scoring in each of the team's first three games this season – is averaging 27.0 ppp.
-The AMCats outrebounded the Bison 32-30 as Morrow pulled down a team-leading 12 while Spencer snared nine.
