Freshman
Kaci Johnson scored her first collegiate goal as the Nichols College women's ice hockey team lost to the University of New England 4-2 in Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) action Saturday night at the Harry Alfond Forum in Biddeford, Maine.
The Nor'easters scored twice in the first period off goals from Jessie Scott and Kenady Nevicosi that gave UNE the 2-0 lead. The Bison answered back in the second period with two quick goals in the first five minutes. Johnson scored her first career goal at the 2:27 mark with an assist from sophomore
Kara Santoro. Junior
Mel McAleer notched her team leading third goal of the season with an assist from classmate
Jordyn McGuire.
UNE took back the lead at the 14:05 mark in the second period with a shorthanded goal from Tatum Gietl. The Nor'easters then added a fourth goal from Kyra Yu in the third period to seal the 4-2 win over the Bison.
