The Nichols College women's soccer team defeated Bay Path 5-1 in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon at Ryan Field in Longmeadow, Massachusetts.
The Bison (10-3-0) were led by freshman
Taylor Patitucci who notched her first career hat trick picking up three of the Bison's five goals. Sophomores
Damiana D'Agostino and
Maegan Roy each collected a pair of assists on the day. Scoring in the contest started late as the Bison made it 1-0 in the 30th minute to go into the half with a one goal lead. Bay Path (6-5-0) started off quick in the second half, tying the game at a goal apiece in the 46th minute after Brianna D'Astous found the back of the net.
Patitucci added two more goals in the second half, while teammates
Niah Samboy and
D'Agostino also joined the party netting goals in the second half to secure the 5-1 win. Sophomore goalie
Olivia Marcantonio recorded five saves as she picked up her 10th win of the season.

Three things you need to know…
-With today's win, the Bison have now won 10 games for the first time since 2010, when they finished the year 12-6-1.
-Patitucci's hat trick was the first of her career.
-Today's match marked the fifth all-time meeting between the two programs. The Bison lead the series 5-0-0 all-time.
