The Nichols College women's soccer team lost to Endicott 2-1 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium in Beverly, Massachusetts.
In a battle of conference rivals, the Bison (10-4-0, 1-3-0 CCC) got ahead early on the Gulls (8-5-0, 3-1-0 CCC) as freshman
Taylor Patitucci netted her fourth goal of the season in the 15th minute with an assist from sophomore
Maegan Roy. It was a defensive battle from that point on, as Nichols went into the half with the slim 1-0 lead.
The Gulls came out strong in the second half out shooting the Bison 16-0 in the second half as they netted two goals to claim the conference win. Claire shields netted the equalizer in the 70th minute before Endicott was awarded a penalty kick with less than a minute to play and Jaymie Caponigro capitalized on the opportunity to give the Gulls the win.
