Freshman Mackenzie Doran scored her seventh goal of the season for the Nichols College field hockey team in a 5-1 loss to Salve Regina University in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tuesday evening at Gaudet Field in Middletown, R.I.
 
Senior Brooke Misbach got the start in goal and recorded five saves before being lifted in favor of junior junior Hannah Seigel, who stopped four shots over the final 9:39 of the contest.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -The Bison were outshot 31-8 on the evening – including 11-1 in the second quarter.
            -Senior Maggie Noelk was credited with a defensive save for NC, her second in as many games.
            -Eliza Timmons scored a pair of goals for the Seahawks (8-3, 4-2 CCC).
