Nichols falls to Salve Regina in three

Freshman Allyson Tuxbury picked up eight kills and 14 digs in Nichols College's 3-0 loss at Salve Regina University Wednesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Rogers Recreation Center in Newport, R.I.
 
Senior Megan Gardner added seven kills and two service aces for the Bison (11-12, 0-7 CCC), who dropped game one 25-19, game two 25-16, and game three 27-25. Sophomore Jayleen Fegan filled the stat sheet with 14 digs, six kills, and four service aces while freshman Madison Perrotti also racked up 14 digs.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -The 14 digs marked the fifth double-digit dig game of Tuxbury's career.
            -Veilleux 23-assist effort was her first 20+ assist effort since handing out 25 against Becker on October 10.
            -With four service aces tonight, Fegan is now tied for the conference lead in service aces/game with 0.65.
