The Nichols College men's soccer team defeated the University of New England (UNE) 2-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon on the NC Soccer Field in Dudley, Massachusetts.

The Bison and the Nor'Easters played much of the first half in a scoreless tie. With a minute left inm the half the Bison struck first as senior Corey McEvoy notched his third goal of the season to give the Bison the slim 1-0 lead going into the half. The Bison outshot the Nor'Easters 12-7 in the first half, led by senior Jacob Sargent and McEvoy.

The Bison (10-5-2, 3-3-1 CCC) added an insurance goal late in the 82nd minute when Sargent sent his team-leading ninth goal of the season. Junior Ali Ali assisted on Sargent's goal while sophomore James Chasco-Dimauro assisted on the Bison's first goal.

-With today's clean sheet, senior Juan Carlos De La Cruz now has four on the season.
-De La Cruz recorded four saves in the match.
-Today's match marked the 26th all-time meeting between the two programs. The Bison lead the series 17-7-2.
