Senior Erin Kelley added an assist for the Bison (3-7, 0-5 CCC) while senior Brooke Misbach recorded 17 saves. Nichols trailed 1-0 at the break before McKinnon's seventh marker of 2019 tied the game at one at 38:14. Later in the third, she scored again to give the Bison a short-lived 2-1 lead.

After WNE tied the game seconds before the end of the third, Jacqueline Clark's second goal of the night 2:43 into overtime won it for the Golden Bears (5-4, 2-2 CCC).

Nichols was outshot 28-7 – including 4-0 in overtime.
