Carlee Tolley scored her second goal of the season 4:05 into overtime to lift the Nichols College field hockey team to a 4-3 win over Roger Williams University in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon at Bayside Field.

Dana Edwards netted a pair of goals for the Bison (4-10, 1-8 CCC) while freshman 
Mackenzie Doran potted her team-leading ninth goal of the season on a penalty stroke. Senior 
Brooke Misbach stopped 14 shots to earn her third win of the season.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -Today's contest marked the 14th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Roger Williams University. The win snapped a three-game losing skid and narrowed the series gap to 8-5 in favor of the Hawks.
            -Roger Williams lost despite outshooting the Bison 36-21 on the afternoon. The Hawks also held a 20-9 edge in penalty corners.
            -Nichols snapped a four-game losing streak in overtime with today's win. The Bison last picked up a win in extra time on October 16, 2016 when they knocked off Framingham State, 4-3.
