The Nichols College men's soccer team tied Endicott 1-1 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium in Beverly, Massachusetts.
The Bison (8-4-2, 1-2-1 CCC) and the Gulls (7-3-2, 2-0-2 CCC) played a scoreless first half that saw eight shots from Endicott and three from Nichols. Nichols senior
Juan Carlos De La Cruz recorded two of his four saves in the first half as the Bison and Gulls went into the half tied at zero.
It took Endicott just 57 seconds into the second half to break the scoreless tie as Jon Breed scored his first goal of the season unassisted to give Endicott the 1-0 lead. The Bison wasted no time however, as they tied the game at one apiece just five minutes later, senior
Jacob Sargent notched his team-leading eighth goal of the season. The Bison and Gulls combined for eight shots across the two overtime periods, but no one was able to find the back of the net and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
