Chardae Saunders combined for 24 kills in Nichols College's 3-0 sweep of Becker College Thursday night in non-conference volleyball action at the Nichols Athletic Center.
Saunders led all student-athletes with nine kills and a pair of blocks while Gardner tallied eight kills. Fegan filled the stat sheet with 13 digs, seven kills, and six service aces – which matched her season high – and freshman
Allyson Tuxbury collected 14 digs and four kills.
The Bison (9-8) – who dropped last season's meeting in Leicester 3-1 – won game one 25-13, game two 25-21, and game three 25-13. Freshman Teddie Flynn paced the Hawks (5-13) with eight kills.
Three things you need to know...
-Tonight's contest marked the fifth all-time meeting between Becker College and Nichols College. The Bison now trail the series 3-2 and evened the series mark in Dudley at 1-1.
-Fegan ranks second in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in service aces/set (0.69) and eighth in digs (230).
-Saunders nine kills established a new career-high.
