The Nichols College women's basketball team lost to Western New England 56-33 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Tuesday night in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Nichols (3-10, 1-4 CCC) were led by sophomore Isabella Nerney who netted nine points and collected five rebounds. Junior Ciarri Formby-Lavertu led the Bison on the glass collecting six rebounds for the second time this season.

The Golden Bears (9-4, 2-3 CCC) were led by junior Alyssa Stefanelli who recorded a double-double with a game high 16 points and 11 rebounds. Junior Meghan Orbann contributed with 11 points herself in the winning effort. Western New England led by as much as 26 points at the three-minute mark in the fourth quarter.

-Nichols held Western New England to 0-19 from three-point land.
-Tonight's game marked the 49th all-time meeting between the two programs.
-Senior Mekaela Fithian-Giantonio contributed with five rebounds and eight points.
