Pilgrims knock off Bison

Junior David Chevrier scored his first goal of the season in Nichols College's 4-1 loss to New England College Friday night at the Boston Landing Collegiate Invitational in non-conference action at Warrior Ice Arena.
 
Juniors Hogan Davidson and Nicholas Mangone collected assists on the tally for the Bison (6-6-1), who were 0-for-5 with the man advantage. Freshman netminder Brett Epp toped 28 shots – including 14 in the first period.
 
Senior Connor Fries scored a pair of goals for the Pilgrims (7-3-2) while senior Nicolas Potvin and junior Daniel Bergqvist each notched a goal and an assist. Junior Carlos Fornaris picked up two apples for the visitors.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -Tonight's contest marked the third all-time meeting between Nichols College and New England College. The Pilgrims lead the series, 3-0-0.
            -Nichols is now 3-2-0 all-time at the Boston Landing Collegiate Invitational.
            -The Bison were outshot 25-11 over the first 40 minutes of play before outshooting the Pilgrims 14-7 in the third period.
