Freshman Lance Law picked up nine kills in Nichols College's 3-0 loss at Emmanuel (MA) College Tuesday night in non-conference men's volleyball action in Boston, Mass.
 
Classmate Collin Hunter chipped in with seven kills and six digs for the Bison (0-3), who dropped game one 25-17, game two 25-16, and game three 25-14. Erik English led the Saints (1-2) with 13 kills.
 
Hunter and Law combined for five kills in the first game while junior Oscar Chavez notched five digs. Law's four kills in the second set led all Bison student-athletes while Hunter and Law each went for three in the third set.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -Freshman Luis Castro dished out 20 assists – including eight in the second set – and has 70 through the team's first three matches.
            -Junior Kevin Keohane recorded two service aces and now has four this season.
            -The Bison played without top attacker Ray Wang.
