The Nichols College men's volleyball team played the inaugural two matches in program history Saturday at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Bison were defeated by Emerson , 3-1, before falling to St. Joseph's (L.I.) 3-0. The Lions downed NC 25-22, 25-22, 19-25, 26-24. The Golden Eagles took down the Bison 25-11, 25-12, and 25-19.

Freshman
Ray Wang led the attack against the Lions with 19 kills while classmate
Collin Hunter filled the stat sheet with 15 kills, 12 digs, and four service aces. Freshman
Lance Law posted seven kills and four digs for the Bison, who posted a .263 hitting pct. – including .467 in the third set.

In the third set – the first-ever game won in program history – Wang (eight) and Hunter (four) combined for 12 kills. Freshman
Luis Castro handed out 15 assists while both Law and junior
Oscar Chavez had three digs.

Law paced the Bison against the Golden Eagles with eight kills while Hunter notched seven kills and seven digs.
