Recap
The Nichols College women's ice hockey team lost to Wesleyan 3-2 in non-conference action Tuesday night in Middletown, Connecticut.

The Cardinals (4-8-0) scored first on a power-play goal at the 7:36 mark in the first period when senior Jackie Kilar potted the puck with an assist from sophomore Sydnee Goyer.

The Bison (8-5-3) tied the game at a goal apiece with a quick goal just 48 seconds into the second period by senior Kelly Ferreira who potted her team leading 10th of the season with helpers from sophomore Mel McAleer and freshman Katelyn Joyal.

The Cardinals would eventually take the lead (2-1) 1:04 into the third period with a goal from freshman Ally Detre. The Bison pulled goalie Cassandra Goyette with 1:48 left in the third, the Cardinals didn't take long to captilize as freshman Cali Stevens potted the empty netter just 10 seconds later with help from junior Allie Damren. The Bison wouldn't give up though as sophomore Nicole Cowan was able to beat the Cardinals junior goalie Allegra Grant with 36 seconds remaining to bring the Bison to within striking distance. A last second shot from Ferreira was blocked as the Bison would fall to the Cardinals.
