The Nichols College women's basketball team fell to Worcester State 61-38 in front of a capacity crowd for Worcester State's annual Math Madness game Monday afternoon in Worcester, Massachusetts.
The Bison (3-13) started hot scoring 16 in the first quarter but the Lancers (11-4) wouldn't let the Bison back into the game. Sophomore guard

Melody Millett each dropped in 11 points in the contest to lead the Bison. Nerney also picked up six rebounds and three assists, while Millett had four boards and an assist.
Meanwhile, Worcester St. sophomore Colleen Cutting dropped in a game-high 12 points to go along with five boards and one dime. Senior Brittany Herring chipped in with 11 points herself to go along with six rebounds as she shot a scorching hot 5-6 from the field in the Lancers victory.
