The Nichols College women's hockey team lost to SUNY Cortland 3-0 Saturday afternoon in a non-conference contest at Levy Rink in Harrisville, Rhode Island.
The Red Dragons (6-5-3) found the back of the net once in each period as they shutout the Bison (8-4-3) to sweep the weekend series. SUNY Cortland got the scoring going when sophomore Kirsten MacDowell potted her first goal of the season with a helper from Allyson Edwards.
Red Dragons sophomore Grace Schnorr chipped in with a pair of goals herself including an empty netter at the 18:41 marker in the third period to put the game away. Junior Emily Rose collected an assist on the Schnorrs first goal.

-Chelsea Allain posted her second shutout of the season, behind her 40-save effort tonight.
-Nichols gave up only their fifth power-play goal of the season.
