The Nichols College women's basketball team lost to The University of New England 67-51 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday afternoon at the Nichols Athletics Center.
Nichols (3-12, 1-6 CCC) sophomore
Isabella Nerney filled the stat sheet with 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Senior
Rebecca Cleary pitched in with 12 points and seven rebounds herself in the loss.
The Nor'easters (8-7, 6-1 CCC) was led by junior Jocelyn Chaput who recorded a double-double with 11 boards and 18 points. Freshman Abby Cavallaro notched 16 points and eight rebounds herself.
The Bison who were only down by six at the half (30-24) entered the fourth quarter with only a 47-41 deficit. The Nor'easters proceeded to find their stride and the reigning CCC Champs went on to take the game by 16 points.

Three things you need to know…
-Nerney's 17 points was her second highest of the season, behind a 19-point effort against Endicott.
-The Bison shot a season high 34% from the field.
-Despite the loss, the Bison out rebounded UNE 44-43.
