The Nichols College women's tennis program defeated Western New England College 8-1 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Saturday morning in Dudley, Massachusetts at the Robinson Tennis Courts.
Juniors
Amarie Settiwongse and
Isabelle Leonardi picked up their 12th doubles victory together this year for the Bison (9-0, 5-0 CCC). Meanwhile, senior
Kristina Domantas picked up her second doubles win of the season with junior partner
Lindsey Kaplan.Â
After sweeping doubles 3-0, the Bison carried momentum into singles action. Sophomore
Juliana Herrera improved to 9-2 in singles matches on the year while freshman
Kara Stankewitz picked up other singles win with a 6-2, 6-2 vicotory over WNE senior Petra Martinelli.
Junior
Danielle Mandel defeated her opposition at the No. 6 singles 6-0, 6-1 to improve to 6-1 in singles play.

-With this conference win, the Bison extend their conference win streak to 21 games.
-The match that Western New England won came via a forfeit at No. 2 singles.
-This was the 17th all-time meeting between the two programs. The Bison have now won 11-straight to improve to 11-6 all-time.
