The Nichols College women's soccer program fell to Western New England 1-0 in overtime Saturday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Vendetti Field.

Nichols College (2-5-1) and Western New England (4-3-1) played 90 minutes of scoreless soccer before heading to overtime, where the Golden Bears scored in the 98th minute. Sophomore Morgan Smith netted her fifth goal of the season with an assist from classmate Kristin Decost to help propel the Golden Bears to their first CCC victory of the year.

Bison seniors Julia Yewcic and Kaylin Goncalves, along with graduate student Meghan Dunn, all had scoring opportunities in the match.
 
Three things you need to know…
-Senior Brooke Downey had 10 saves in the match.
-Western New England senior goalkeeper Marissa Veilleux recorded three saves.
-Smith led all student-athletes with eight shots in the match.
