Bison shackle Lynx, 3-0

Recap
Freshman Jayleen Fegan notched a program-record seven service aces in Nichols College's 3-0 win over Lesley University Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at the Nichols Athletic Center.
 
The Bison – who earlier in the day suffered a 3-0 defeat to Southern Vermont – won game one against  the Lynx 25-21, game two 25-12, and game three 25-19. Fegan added 15 digs, three kills, and two assists while senior Sabrina Boermeester posted a .423 hitting percentage (13 kills) – the third-best mark in program history.
 
Junior Megan Gardner added 10 kills and five digs against Lesley while senior Zoe Chevrette racked up 18 digs and freshman Rachael Veilleux handed out 26 assists. Boermeester opened the contest with five kills in the first game before Gardner collected four in game two. Feegan, meanwhile, tallied four assists in the second set while Gardner and Boermeester each picked up four kills in the third and final game.
 
Three things you need to know...
-Boermeester led the Bison with seven kills against the Mountaineers while Fegan and senior Moriah Burns chipped in with six apiece.
-Liv Sowles led Southern Vermont with 15 kills. The Lynx were paced by Teresa Imbsweiler and Cassidy Wygonik with six kills each.
-The Bison have already matched their win total from all of 2017.
