The Nichols College men's soccer program defeated the Massachusetts Maritime Buccaneers 1-0 in non-conference action Wednesday night at Vendetti Field.
The Buccaneers (1-2-1) held the Bison (4-1-0) scoreless for the first 38 minutes of thee match before junior
Jacob Sargent broke the scoreless tie. He corralled his previous shot that rebounded off Buccaneers goalie Mitch Hardy and put it past him to break the scoreless tie.
Nichols won despite being outshot, 17-14.

Patrick Porpora notched his second clean sheet of the season, moving him into a tie with class of '89 alumni J. Marc Lyons for fifth all-time with eight.
