Erin Kelley scored twice in Nichols College's 6-3 win at Salve Regina University Tuesday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) field hockey action at Gaudet Field.

Carlee Tolley, also scored for the Bison, who moved to 2-1 on the season (1-0 CCC). Sophomore Tori Bickel scored twice for the Seahawks (1-3, 0-1 CCC).

Nichols jumped out to an early 2-0 lead just 7:16 into the contest behind goals from White and Kelley. Two goals from Bickel six minutes apart tied the game at two before McKinnon's team-leading third goal of the season at 26:03 gave the Bison a 3-2 halftime lead.

The Bison opened the second half with goals Kelley (41:10), sophomore
Lauryn White (50:56), and Tolley (55:33) to push their lead to 6-2. Â

-The Bison outshot the Seahawks 19-15 and each team received seven penalty corners.

Brooke Misbach recorded four saves to earn her second win of 2018.
-Nichols has now won two-straight against Salve Regina.
