ORLANDO, Fla. – The Nichols College women's tennis picked up where they left off in the fall, registering a 9-0 victory over the Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday night in Orlando, Fla.
The Bison improve to 15-2 overall and return to action on Thursday morning with a 10:45 a.m. meeting against McDaniel College. The Ducks fall to 9-5 overall with the setback.

Alanna Judd and sophomore
Lindsey Kaplan opened up the match with an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles over junior Sydney Zoretic and sophomore Gabriella Tantillo. Freshman

Rachel McDonald followed with an 8-5 win over junior Victoria Piskarev and freshman Makenna Sargis at No. 3 doubles, while sophomores
Amarie Settiwongse and
Isabelle Leonardi rounded out doubles play with an 8-5 victory over sophomores Julia Earl and Isabella Calandra at the top doubles spot.
Singles play was much of the same as Judd made quick work of Piskarev at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Settinwongse followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles over Earl, with Kaplan defeating Zoretic, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6 singles. Leonardi handed Sargis a 6-4, 6-0 setback at No. 4 singles, while sophomore
Megan Nathanson defeated Calandra, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Herrera wrapped up the match with a 6-2, 6-3 win over freshman Chelsea Braithwaite at No. 6 singles.
